Introducing
Picassa -
This stunning mare has played to a high level
of polo with a young professional player, however
due to an old injury to her knee it is felt that
this very talented horse should no longer be
put through the riggers that high goal polo
demands.
Whilst Picassa is totally sound and will make a
wonderfully versatile all round pony, it is believed
that due to her light mouth and sensitivity to leg
aids that her future lies in the dressage arena.
With only a few weeks of dressage training under
her belt Picassa is working it a very nice and
correct outline, she is leg yielding well and performs
a very good shoulder in; and with her highly trained
polo experience behind her difficult dressage moves
such as fly changes and pirouettes are already
well established.
Picassa has also started jumping and again
showing the true versatility of the polo pony
she is proving to be useful at this discipline.
Picassa is a delight to do on the ground, she is
very good in traffic, good with the farrier, she
loads easily, is happy living in or out and being
an ex polo ponynothing really fazes her.
Whilst Picassa is a very easy mare to do in every
way, she is a highly trained little horse so she
does need a light handed competent rider who
can continue her education and get the most
out of her.
