Twist Polo Ponies for sale March
I am not entireley sure where the winter has gone to, March is already
upon us
the 7 polo mares which we have with us have been walking since November
and are now cantering hard, playing arena polo here, the Hunters are
still going
and five ponies are sitting in quarantine in Argentina awaiting to fly
to us at the
end of the month!
In the meantime regular visitors to this page will remember that I mugged
my
poor husband in to a new kitchen - that was six weeks of hell, but when
the
kitchen was complete it looked so smart and the rest of the house looked
rather
old - so while Simon was away on a business trip unbeknown to him work
started
on the rest of the house - eek I was in trouble, well finally by the
end of Feb we
got rid of the last builder and painter - I think I had better be on
best behavior
for a very long time to get away with that stunt!!
I am terribly excited about this coming polo season, the seven mares
which we
have here are all 2nd year landed so are fully aclimatized and ready
for serious
action and in my own humble opinion they are some of the best that we
have
ever had. Each mare is not only stunningly beautiful, but their already
proven
ability at the highest levels of polo is very exciting and with the
work which
we have and will be doing with them is putting the final polish on already
proven
horses.
While I have been busy over the winter chasing builders around our Agents
overseas have been equally busy sourcing ponies who meet our demanding
standards. We are thrilled with the Argentine mares currently doing
their
quarantine in B.A. they all have the look, temperament, speed and handle
that
our customers expect of us, and they have all also passed demanding
7 stage
vet tests, kindly carried out for us by Emma Tomlinson.
Our South African agent has also nose to the grind stone on our behalf
and a
number of horses have been short listed for selection - I have been
so excited
about the South African mares here that I managed to persuade our S.A.
agent
to stop the search for suitable mounts for one week and fly to the UK
to see
the mares that we have sourced together - they are looking and going
so
beautifully I am dying to show them off!!!
